Getting a head-start on Halloween crafts
Labor Day has come and gone, which means that I’m starting to see Halloween displays in stores. Fall is my favorite time of year and I love Halloween – so let’s prepare early, shall we?
A real zombie heart would probably be all blackened, gooey and putrid, but I created this one in fun but toxic cartoon colors.
It’s been featured in a Halloween Guts N’ Gore Etsy treasury – take a look.
Are you getting excited about Halloween already?

Monster Mash!
It’s never too early to begin thinking about Halloween…. we’ve got only eight months to go! Like my shop tagline, “cute and morbid,” I am always thinking about different ways to put a sweet spin on the dark and spooky. Maybe it’s a way to make the grotesque more palatable; taking the edge off of our worst fears.
My Tiny Anime Frankenstein Charms are a good example. Forget big and lumbering, these guys are petite and kawaii.
You can see a lot more cute and creepy items in this Etsy treasury by Lauren, Monster Mash.
Thanks for looking!

I Love Etsy Treasury
Are you getting ready for Valentines Day? Cuddle up with this heart-themed treasury, “I Love Etsy.”
My Broken Heart of Gold Earrings have been chosen. Although they look broken, I like to think that they’re in the process of healing. What do you think?

Ring in 2013 With A New Treasury
Happy New Year! I hope that you had a wonderful 2012 and are looking forward to many new, excellent things in 2013. I know I am. For those of you who may have partied too hard last night and into the morning, here’s an Etsy treasury of hangover cures.
It features my bitter pill beads, which I make by hand from metallic blue and black polymer clay. Other color schemes are available in my shop. Click on the photos to see more.
Cheers,

Hello… I make jewelry.
And I am a multifaceted beast! I currently sell my work under two pseudonyms. My Gearbunny line is where I express my punky, industrial, cute and morbid side. Here you’ll find polymer clay jewelry and accessories. I mainly focus on necklaces, charms, pendants, bracelets, and earrings, but I have been known to branch off into hair accessories and brooches. My inspiration comes from club and music culture and weird, quirky thoughts that pop into my head. I have been creating jewelry as Gearbunny since 2006.
My jewelry alterego is LapinJade (ooh la la, that’s jade rabbit, in French). Launched in April of 2008, it’s a newer endeavor. My LapinJade jewelry features sterling silver wire-wrapping and original silver pieces that I’ve forged myself using metalworking techniques. The versatility of silver is very inspiring. I also use various gemstones and precious materials. Overall this is a more elegant, classically beautiful line.
Gearbunny and LapinJade are both equally ME, so you’ll find updates for both on this site!
Currently I sell my work on Etsy, a fantastic virtual marketplace for all things handmade. Visit Gearbunny here, and LapinJade over here.
