Merry Christmas! Sally Hansen Snow Bunny Nail Strips

Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!

To celebrate the season, I am wearing Sally Hansen Real Nail Polish Strips in Snow Bunny.  They feature a pearlescent white base with red snowflakes.  They remind me of a knitted sweater pattern, but I also got the comment that they resemble gift wrap.  Either way I love these wintery nails.

I applied these over a basecoat and used a coat of Seche Vite on top to seal them.  So far they still look perfect after three days.  In the past I’ve gotten a good ten days of wear out of these nail polish strips, so I think they’re well worth it.

Whatever you celebrate, hope you have a wonderful night!

Nails Inc. Magnetic Polish – Trafalger Square

I had been wanting to try magnetic nail polish for the longest time.  Now, following on the heels of the crackle phase, they seem to be flooding the market.  I tested one of the first I saw, Nails Inc. Magnetic Polish, which Sephora carries.  This is Trafalger Square, a dark metallic chrome.

It’s important to apply the magnet soon after you paint your nail, because the polish dries quickly.  The magnet is in the cap, and it has a small curved tray that you fit on your cuticle to hold the magnet in place.  I did one nail at a time to ensure that the polish wouldn’t dry on me.  I loved the results!  The chevron stripes create a tiger eye appearance, with the color shifting depending on the angle of the light.

What are your favorite magnetic nail polishes?  I am tempted to try the new Color Club magnetic glitter shades!

Sally Hansen CSM Loves Me Not – Prabal Gurung Spring 2012

Meet Loves Me Not, one of the Sally Hansen colors created by Prabal Gurung for Spring 2012.  The other colors in the collection were pretty, but this one really called to me.  It is a blackened glass-flecked purple.  The formula was excellent and I could almost get complete coverage in one coat.  I applied two, which really added depth and sparkle. Here it is with a topcoat of Seche Vite.

I’m trying out a new gallery style of displaying photos – what do you think?  Please click to zoom!

If You Go Into the Woods Today…

I love me a woodland theme.  This adorable treasury makes me want to jump into the woods and commune with nature.  How about you?

If You Go into the Woods Today…

I think my Even Smaller Toadstool Earrings fit in just fine.  Just don’t eat them, though.
